FOYERS WORTH ENTERING

Whether your style is austere or over-the-top, our entryways are the greeters of the house--they set the tone for all our guests who visit!  Consoles are the most essential piece in a foyer as they are a place to throw your keys and set your purse.  However, don't forget finishing touches; a great mirror, artwork or sculpture, an unexpected pop of color, ambient lighting, flowers, and great seasonal candle!

First impressions can be tricky; here are a few helpful tips for getting your foyer/entryway/front room in entrance worthy status!

MIRROR, MIRROR

A great console with a grandiose mirror is the ultimate welcome!  Mirrors bounce light making interiors look larger, as well as give your guests a perfect glance at someone familiar--themself!

BAUBLES, CANDLES, and BLOOMS

A Vide-Poche is helpful in keeping keys and loose change contained.  It can also house matches for candles as an entrance should smell beautiful. Scent is the first thing we respond to so make it lovely--it's fun to make the scent seasonal!  Fresh flowers can help with that too, as well as add color, and as studies have shown, they have an immediate impact on happiness.

OVERSIZED ART

Art is an often overlooked facet of design.  Including art in your home allows you to make a highly personal statement about who you are and what you love.  It makes an event out of a blank wall!  Always keep your eye out for pieces that speak to you and acquire them.  Art can be found in the least expected places--purchasing a piece while on vacation is one of the mos rewarding things for your home!

THE UNEXPECTED

Be playful with quirky elements.  An interesting console, surprising shapes of a mirror, perhaps your favorite color that is echoed throughout the house!  If you love something--buy it--all you're pieces will come together just based off your connection to them!

MOOD LIGHTING

Beautiful lighting is key to every entrance.  This chandelier takes it to the next level.  Dimmers can help set the ambience--as well as wall sconces and lamps--for when everyone enters your next dinner party.

(But seriously note this FLOOR--in our opinion, basically every room should be black and white harlequin!)

DARK & STORMY

Some say small spaces shouldn't be painted black, but we say, au contraire!  Black walls only add an element of mystery and a lovely moodiness that any guest would appreciate!

BE BOLD

Like powder rooms, foyers are meant to be a bit more over-the-top.  Choose graphic wallpaper or an amazing floor of harlequin or the like! Don't be afraid to have fun with this space and make it a statement!  Welcome those guests in a bold YOU stated style!
