HOLIDAY MOVIE MUST-LIST
CHRISTMAS MOVIES
It's that time of year! We cozy around fireplaces and watch our favorite lineup of Holiday movies! If you're anything like us, you have your list, and each winter season you plot out what you'll view leading up to December twenty-fifth! Below are our most beloved festive films that keep us feeling warm all month long!
White Christmas
It isn't Christmas without watching this classic film. Bing Crosby's voice gets us every time! The sets and costumes are magic! Cozy up to the fire and watch this with your loved ones!
A Very Murray Christmas
We love Bill Murray--that's all there is to it! We also wish that life was one big musical where we all just break out in song. Bill Murray plays Bill Murray, George Clooney pops his head in, and bonus--Miley Cyrus sings Silent Night with those amazing pipes!
The Holiday
All around a feel-good watch! These four actors are amazing! Their homes incredible! Their relationships inspiring! We just plain love watching this movie!
The Family Stone
This one gets you at your core. You can't help but feel all the emotions of these characters--cringeworthy at times--but isn't that just the reality of our own perspectives!
Four Christmases
Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn--need we say more! Family dynamics are fascinating and this movie reassures us that our families aren't that abnormal!
It's a Wonderful Life
Our Christmas Eve must watch. This movie has been inspiring us since childhood and will continue to long into the future. We long for more men like George Bailey. It really is a wonderful life!
Meet Me in St. Louis
Watch this if only to hear Judy Garland's iconic voice sing "I'll be Home for Christmas". It's simply lovely.
Elf
I saw this 3 times in the movie theater when it first came out--the last time I'd done that was my 13th birthday for Titanic. It's one of the greats! Will Farrell, we wish you were in our friend circle!
Christmas Vacation
Kick off the Holiday season with this one--it'll get you laughing hysterically and quoting lines from it all season long! Clark, you're our hero!
Little Women
We love the four March sisters! This is Winona Ryder at her finest. A great depiction of strong females doing it for themselves. True Haute Shot Cool girls!
A Christmas Story
Oh Ralphie! It wouldn't be Christmas Day without this film playing in the background on repeat!
Scrooged
This one grows on you! It's no secret I love Bill Murray! It's an 80's modernization of Charles Dickins' "A Christmas Carol", with the same emotionally rewarding ending scene!
Love Actually
Oh sweet love! This movie encompasses all sorts of love; the shitty cheating kind, young love, all sweet and innocent, new love, real love, old love, friendship love! Love truly IS all around!
Holiday Inn
Anything with Bing Crosby for us, please! The dancing, singing, costumes, and sets are stunning! We wish we were being fought over by Bing and Fred Astaire!
Happy Holidays! Please "Like" below and leave a comment!

LA VIE EN ROSE
Fall into the sultry shade of DUSTY PINK.
The pale, dusty rose hue so ubiquitous with Generation Y, that it’s known as “Millennial Pink.” Its popularity started in 2006 and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere! Sported on the runways, splashed across magazines' glossy pages--if you want something to sell, the magic is making it in this soft hue! It's somehow calming, sincere, and nostalgic all at once!
Here are a few of our favorites in this notorious shade!
PINK FUR
We want to wear it--we want to pet it! Just surround us with this beautiful fur! Paired with jeans and heels or just thrown over a chair--we'll love this fur beauty until the end of time!
PINK SETTEES
In any interior this hue looks luxurious and almost acts as a neutral from heaven! Not too girlie--where the men in your life feel uncomfortable in the space--the good ones always appreciate a nice pink anyways!
PINK ART
Mark Rothko was even thinking about this hue in 1953, with his "Pink on Pink" painting. So simple and so perfect! We'll take this on our salon style gallery wall!
PINK HEELS
Velvet with gold heels--these should be our Holiday go-tos for every festive get-together! Always pretty in pink!
PINK RESTAURANT
Sketch in London is high on our list of places to dine when we make it there! To be surrounded by an entire sea of pink--it has to make the food taste that much more lovely!
PINK BLOSSOMS
Flowers in any hue are on the top of our list, but there is something about pink roses that look prettiest in a vase perched atop a stack of books on the coffee table! Make it a point to have fresh flowers weekly--you'll see what it does to your daily mood!
PINK ROCKS
This semi precious stone; used on walls, floors, and counters--has us stopped in our tracks! The way rose quartz seems to glow from within has us wanting an entire powder room done up in it!
PINK STRANDS
The gorgeous Brigitte Bardot, in the 1967 movie, Two Weeks in September, make a visit to the hair salon, for a bob and dye, quite desirable!
PINK THROWS
Sometimes, all it takes is a little added dose of pink to make an interior! Mixed with gray, black, and white-- and you've got a sophisticated color scheme for any room!
PINK STUDY
Kelly Wearstler is always doing it right! A Bel Air residence she designed has an office out of our dreams! We know we could get some work done in here!
Love DUSTY PINK and want to share something in this pretty hue? Leave a comment!

THE ART OF PACKING
PACKING LIST:
YOUR ULTIMATE CARRY-ON GUIDE
Turn on your Out of Office, grab your passport, and prepare for takeoff. "When you figure out your suitcase, you figure out your life," says Diane von Furstenberg. We say, when you master packing an essential carry-on, getting wherever you're going, from takeoff to tarmac can be just as as fun as arrival (well, kinda)! We've done a round-up of things to get you through you're next airplane adventure!
TRAVEL COMPANION
Pocket-sized Luxe City Guide Maps are the ultimate read before heading off to explore any city! Resident editors give you in-the-know experience about the greatest cities in the world!
SHUT EYE
Sleeping Masks are a natural way to help us get to sleep faster and stay asleep. This vanity eye mask, made by Azeeza, is hand embellished with Swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones. Get some beauty sleep in style!
LIPLOCK
Lip Gloss is an essential everyday, make sure you throw one in when you're traveling! The first sign of dehydration is chapped lips, which means you're thirsty--keep you're body and lips hydrated!
MATERIAL GIRL
Reading material, such as you're favorite glossies, are a must on any flight! They give you inspiration for what you'll wear on your adventures and are great eye-candy on quite the drab mode of transportation; especially if you're stuck in the middle seat with no puffy clouds to dream off into!
ACCESSORIZE
No jewelry necessary on a flight, but a Scarf that can be worn around the neck while boarding or tucked in your carry-on, then doubles as a blanket when the airplane gets chilly, which is bound to happen!
BEAUTY REST
Head pillows are quite ridiculous looking, necessary on a long flight, but ugly as all hell! We've actually tracked down a chic one, and in leopard print to boot! Nurse Jamie's Age Delay Pillow designed supports the face and neck while minimizing the appearance of fine lines by helping your skin retain its natural oils. Ear plugs and earphones are also helpful to noise cancel everything while you get some Z's!
HYDRATE
Hydration is key when traveling! Flight meals are packed with sodium so the best way to stay hydrated is to drinks TONS of water (never mind the bathroom runs) you're skin and body will thank you!
KEEP IT CLEAN
Whether you travel in a private jet or in the dreaded middle seat, plane air will deplete the skin. Refresh before landing with Korres cleansing and make-up removing wipes.. Then, add a little rouge and mascara, and hit the ground running!
HIGH FIVE
Pressurized, recycled air on an airplane is typically dry, which means it will suck the moisture out of your skin. Byredo's velvety smooth 'Blanche' Hand Cream is ideal for travel. Composed of subtle notes of White Rose, Violet and Sandalwood, it's counterbalanced by hearty Neroli, Pink Pepper and Musk for a fresh, delicate finish that won't be overbearing for your seat mates!
SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS
Chewing gum can be your savior when you experience rough turbulence, and if you have a long flight, a godsend to your neighbor! Be a dear, and pack a toothbrush too, that way you can brush you're teeth right before you land!
CABIN NOISE
Noise canceling headphones are a must if you plan on listening to that album you’ve been meaning to for months, binge-watching movies, or just want to take a nap without having to listen to the passengers around you! Invest in a pair that are lightweight, don't hurt your ears, and don't give you a headache!
Safe Travels!

What Movies to watch before you hit THE CITY OF LIGHTS!
MOVIES IN PARIS
“Paris isn’t for changing planes, it’s for changing your outlook! For throwing open the windows and letting in . . . letting in la vie en rose.”
Whether you're heading to Paris or just need to take a little imaginative trip there; here are our most coveted Paris films!
FUNNY FACE
Funny Face is a 1957 American musical/romantic/comedy containing assorted songs by George and Ira Gershwin. Audrey Hepburn plays a shy, intellectual bookshop clerk turned "new and fresh" fashion model! The color scheme is beautiful and the dance scenes just plain make you happy ("Think Pink!"). A must-watch for lovers of fashion and photography, as Fred Astaire's character is based off of famous photographer, Richard Avedon! In fact, it is Avedon himself who set up most of the photography for this film, including the famous face portrait of Hepburn, unveiled during the dark room sequence.
HOW TO STEAL A MILLION
How to Steal a Million is a 1966 heist /comedy starring Audrey Hepburn. The picture is set and was filmed in France, though the characters speak entirely in English. Hepburn's timeless wardrobe was designed by Givenchy. The scene where she is wearing a black chantilly lace dress, mysterious eye mask, and dramatic silver eye shadow is an iconic look that still has fashion girls in envy!
AMELIE
Amelie is a 2001 whimsical romantic comedy which depicts a contemporary Parisian life in the ever-charming Montmartre neighborhood. The main character, Amelie, has a realization that she wants to dedicate her life to making people happy, and does just that though-out the story. A must-see film for it's story-book warm color palette and amazing musical score!
CHARADE
Charade is a 1963 Technicolor American romantic/comedy/mystery film starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. It is often said to be one of the last ‘Classic Hollywood’ feature films and deemed by fans "the best Hitchcock film Hitchcock never made." It's worth a watch just to see Hepburn's attire and her Paris apartment (even if it is empty)!
MOULIN ROUGE!
Moulin Rouge! is a 2001 Australian–American jukebox musical comedy directed, co-produced, and co-written by Baz Luhrmann. It tells the story of a young English poet/writer who falls in love with the courtesan, Satine. The film was shot in the musical setting of the Montmartre Square of Paris, quite fitting for a true love story!
PARIS WHEN IT SIZZLES
Paris When It Sizzles is a 1964 romantic comedy about a screenwriter who hires a young temp secretary, played by Audrey Hepburn. He starts to come up with various scenarios for his screenplay, called The Girl Who Stole the Eiffel Tower, which is based on their unfolding romance. Hepburn, as usual, is lovely!
LA VIE EN ROSE
La Vie en Rose is a 2007 biographical musical about the life of French singer, Edith Piaf. The film is structured as a largely non-linear series of key events from the singer's life. Piaf's signature song will have you playing it during your next dinner party. Life through rose-tinted glasses!

IT-GIRLS WE'D LOVE TO BUMP INTO AT PARIS FASHION WEEK
PARIS FASHION WEEK starts next Tuesday and we just happen to be heading to Paris ourselves--just 3 days shy of actually being in the heat of it! Still, we are going to pretend lots of well-dressed babes are sticking around to take in the city! We will probably knock elbows with them while in line for a crêpe or find ourselves picnicking next to each other on the lawn of Champ de Mars! Here's to wishful thinking and here are the fashion enthusiast we're dying to catch a glimpse of!
